Quito | Otavalo | Rainforest | Quito (8 days)

Day 1
 Quito  
Arrival in Quito and transfer to your hotel. Choose between the Hotel Plaza Grande, situated in the heart of the historical centre or the Hotel Le Parc, a modern Boutique-Design hotel in the new centre.
Day 2
Quito
Enjoy a half day city tour to visit the historical centre of Quito, UNESCO World Heritage, visit the cathedral and some impressive colonial houses and baroque monasteries. Visit of an art gallery exhibiting regional art. Lunch at one of Quito’s best restaurants to taste regional specialities.
Day 3
 Quito - Otavalo - Cotacachi
Transfer to Otavalo (around 3h). Visit the famous Indian handicraft market and continue to Cotacachi and Hostería La Mirage with its beautiful gardens and Spa area. Dinner at the Hostería La Mirage.
Day 4
 Otavalo
Half day visit to the surroundings of Otavalo. Enjoy your hotel in the afternoon.
Dinner at the Hostería La Mirage.
Day 5
 Otavalo - Cloud Forest
Transfer to the cloud forest resort Arashá, situated in one of the few biodiversity hotspots of the world. Join an educational ECO-tour including Bird-Watching and nocturnal tours into the rainforest, enjoy a tropical aromatic massage or learn how to make chocolate out of coca seeds. Dinner at Resort.
Day 6
 Cloud Forest - Quito
Join one of the many tours offered by the lodge. In the afternoon transfer back to Quito (around 2,5h).
Day 7
 Hacienda Umbria
Full day excursion to Hacienda Umbria. Buy your ingredients for lunch at a local market and followed by a cooking session with the owner of the hacienda. Lunch at Hacienda Umbria included. Return to Quito.
Day 8
Quito - Galápagos
