CHILE -
OFFROAD THROUGH THE DESERT

day 1

Arrival at the airport of Santiago and transfer to the hotel.
Welcome cocktail and afterwards city tour with wine tasting.
Dinner with folklore show.

day 2

Flight to Antofagasta in northern Chile. Welcome at the airport and take over the vehicles. Short briefing with the guides.
Short city tour. Ride into the desert along the Llullaillaco volcano. Arrival in Neurara at the altitude of 2500m! Acclimatization. Set up of the camp. Dinner and overnight in the camp.

day 3

Trip to the meteoric crater Monturaqui, partially off-road.
You will have a fantastic view all over the Andes!
Continuation of the journey to the saline lake of Atacama and the oasis Tilomonte. Afterwards visit of the arqueological site of Tula.
Set up of the camp at an altitude of 3200m!

day 4

Trip to the wonderful lagoon of Miscanti.
The trip leads us on a challenging off-road line through the Nacimiento Canyon and the pass of Chiliques to the lake Lejika.
The highest point lies at the altitude of 4700m!
Set up of the camp at the saline lake Aguas Calientes at an altitude of 4200m.

day 5

Off-road drive to salt lake Pujsa with it’s unique red colour, surrounded by a beautiful landscape. The drive goes on to San Pedro de Atacama. We will visit this small town in the midst of a green oasis, the tourist centre of the Atacama dessert. We will drive to the bizarre „Valley of the Moon“ to watch the sunset from one of the dunes. Overnight at a hotel in San Pedro de Atacama.

day 6

Very early in the morning drive to the geysers of El Tatio close to the Bolivian border. Surrounded by the geysers we will have our brunch.
On our way back we have a stop on the hot springs of Puritama to relax in natural pools. Flight from Calama to Santiago de Chile.
Farewell evening with folkloric show.

day 7

Return flight.
